OK - this is another one of those areas that many of us being in the miltary take for granted many times. Now that we are out and using our own computers it is up to us to ensure that they stay running smoothly and we take care to protect ourselves. Just listed below are Spybot and Advanced Spyware programs - BOTH are free downloads. They work quite well - give them a shot - you will not be displeased with them.
Here is a good start on much of the normal software we use pretty much daily - or at least we are exposed to much of it daily. In order to not only keep up with the latest on the internet, but to help keep your system a bit more secure besides AdWare, SpyWare and Anti-Virus - all of this works together to keep us a bit more safe, more able to utlize the latest in web sites but as you have learned today - just a bit more informed. Good luck - more to come.
Computer Security - Top priority
Well as most of you know we get bombarded with junk mail, pop-up ads, emails that tell us the FBI, CIA and other agencies are watching us - e-mails that tell us our passwords have been changed. Well we all need to keep our software updated in order to prevent the latest bugs that these knuckle heads put out there. Here are some links for that info.
Reporting - scams or other fraudulent information -
